Installation & Care

While installing a marble medallion is a significant investment, the Rafeal medallion arrives pre-assembled, often on a mesh backing, to facilitate easier installation. We recommend a dry layout of the medallion and surrounding tiles to ensure a proper fit and desired pattern orientation before applying adhesive. Use a premium white thin-set mortar for installation and ensure the subfloor is properly prepared and waterproofed. Grout joints within the medallion with epoxy grout, then apply your chosen field grout for the rest of the floor. Remember to seal the floor after installation and periodically thereafter to prevent staining and maintain its appearance.
