Thin brick and glazed terracotta cut to backsplash thickness, in 2x8 and 4x8 bricks with glossy, leather and matte faces. The colour range covers the expected reds and whites plus blue, green and grey glazes.

Thin brick gives a kitchen the texture of a real brick wall without the depth a full brick needs. It sits on the wall like any tile and the glazed versions wipe clean, which solves the usual complaint about brick behind a stove.

A running bond, half offset layout looks most like masonry. Grouting it flush keeps the wall easy to clean; raking the joints back reads more rustic but collects more grease.
