Laurent Collection

Laurent is a modern reading of mid century furniture: rounded picture frame detail on the doors, cathedral grain veneer running up the fronts, and nothing else. The grain is the decoration, which is why it is offered only in the two oak finishes where the grain is worth looking at, Honey Oak and Light Natural Oak.

It installs either freestanding or wall hung. Hung, the cabinet reads lighter and the floor runs under it; stood, it goes in like any conventional vanity. Because the decision can wait until the plumbing is exposed, the collection appears under dual mount vanities.

Living with an oak vanity

Wood in a bathroom is not the risk people assume, provided the room has extraction and the finish is intact. What actually damages a veneered cabinet is standing water at the base and steam with nowhere to go. Wipe the plinth, run the fan, and an oak vanity outlives most painted ones.

The closest alternatives are Hudson, which is warmer and more traditional, and Myrrin, which is flatter and more modern.
