Rohe Mirrors

Rohe is the metal framed range, and it solves a problem wood framed mirrors cannot: what to hang when the vanity is a colour nothing matches, or when the tapware is the strongest note in the room. A champagne brass frame over a walnut cabinet with brass fittings ties the room to the metal, and that reads as a decision rather than a compromise.

Four shapes: rectangle for the conventional hang, octagon for a geometric edge that stays modern without being cold, round for narrow cabinets and consoles where a rectangle looks heavy, and arched for softening a room full of straight lines. Sizes run 24 to 48 inches in champagne brass, matte black and satin nickel.

Choosing a shape

• Rectangle: the safe choice over any vanity 30 inches and wider
• Arched: best where the tile is square and the room needs a curve
• Round: works over consoles, pedestals and cabinets under 24 inches
• Octagon: a modern edge that suits flat fronted cabinets

Matching the metal

Pick the frame finish from the faucet, not from the cabinet hardware, because the faucet is the thing directly below the mirror and the eye reads them together. If the faucet is chrome, satin nickel is the closest of the three.
