Does this stone sink need to be sealed?

Yes, our team absolutely recommends regular sealing for stone products. Iris Black marble is a natural stone, and like all natural stones, it is porous. Apply a penetrating stone sealer to the full surface before installation. Resealing once a year maintains the surface and prevents long term staining from water and soap residue. For the honed finish specifically, avoid acidic cleaners; use pH neutral stone safe products only.
