Columbia Collection
Columbia is the collection for bathrooms that want to look light. The cabinet is flat fronted with simple sculpted hardware, and it sits on an open metal base rather than on solid legs, so the floor stays visible underneath. In a room with good tile that is exactly the right decision, because the tile keeps working under the vanity instead of stopping at it.
The metal comes in brushed nickel, matte black, champagne brass and radiant gold, and the cabinet in Glossy White, Ash Gray and Latte Oak. Because the base and the cabinet are ordered as a pair, you can put a warm oak box on a black frame or a white box on brass, which is more control than most collections give you.
Sizes and pieces
Widths are 24, 31.5, 36, 48, 59 and 72 inches. Alongside the vanities there are metal bases sold on their own, cabinets without a top, and matching cabinet pulls, so a bathroom can be built up piece by piece rather than bought as one unit. The countertop is a mineral composite with a solid surface basin, which gives a seamless bowl with no rim to clean around.
Sustainability
The cabinets use engineered veneers made partly from reclaimed and cast off wood, along with new wood from fast growing species. It is not a marketing line invented for the page: it is why the grain on a Latte Oak Columbia is consistent from one cabinet to the next, which a slow growth hardwood veneer never is.
