Frequently Asked Questions

What is a countertop unit?

A cabinet the same height and depth as a vanity but with no sink, so the counter is uninterrupted. It extends a vanity run or works alone as a dressing table.

Can I add a sink to one later?

Not without a new top. The counter is supplied without a cutout, and cutting a fitted quartz top in place is not practical. If a second sink might be wanted later, buy a vanity instead.

Does the counter match the vanity top?

Yes, if you order the same surface. Engineered quartz is consistent from piece to piece, so the run reads as one continuous counter.

Which series make them?

The modular collections: Addison, Athens and De Soto. Those are designed so vanities, countertop units, drawer units and hutches share a depth, a height and a finish.

What width are they?

Around 30 inches, which pairs with the common vanity widths to fill a standard wall without leaving a gap too small to use.

Countertop Units

A countertop unit is a vanity without the sink. Same height, same depth, same finish, but the top is uninterrupted, which makes it the piece that gives a bathroom a place to put things down. Beside a vanity it turns a single cabinet into a fitted run; on its own it works as a dressing table.

They are built in the modular collections, Addison, Athens and De Soto, in widths around 30 inches. Because the depth matches the vanities in the same series, the counter can run straight across both pieces without a step.

What to put on it

This is the surface that stops a bathroom counter being permanently crowded. A hutch sits on the back of one to add shelving at eye level, or leave it clear and hang a mirror above it to use as a make up station. Where the wall is longer, add a drawer unit as well.

One counter, several cabinets

Order the same countertop colour across every piece in the run. Because these are engineered quartz rather than natural stone, the colour is consistent between pieces, so the run reads as one surface even though it arrives as separate tops.

The vanities these pair with are in single vanities, and the tall storage that finishes a run is in bathroom cabinets.
