Frequently Asked Questions

What are these panels made of?

Moulded polyurethane with a stone texture and color applied to the face. They weigh a fraction of real stone, which is why no extra wall support is needed.

How are they installed?

They cut with a regular saw and go up with construction adhesive and screws over a flat, solid wall. Most people finish a small accent wall in an afternoon.

Can they be used in a bathroom or outdoors?

Treat them as a decorative interior surface unless the product page says otherwise. Keep them out of showers and away from standing water.

How do these differ from real stone panels?

Real stone ledger panels are quarried and much heavier, so they need a suitable substrate and a mason. These panels trade that weight and cost for a faster install.

Faux Stone Wall Panels

These panels are moulded polyurethane with a stone texture. They weigh a fraction of real stone, cut with a regular saw and go up with adhesive and screws, which makes them a practical way to finish an accent wall or wainscoting without a mason or extra wall support.

They are a decorative surface rather than a structural one, so keep them away from wet areas unless the manufacturer says otherwise. For real quarried stone on a wall, see stone ledger panels, and for timber slat surfaces see wood wall panels.
