Frequently Asked Questions

What is a base valence?

The panel that runs along the bottom of the cabinet between the legs. On Palisades it is softly arched rather than straight, which lightens the look of the cabinet.

What finish does Palisades come in?

Bright White.

What sizes are available?

Thirty six and 48 inch singles and a 72 inch double.

What is the cabinet made of?

North American birch solids and veneers, with electrical and USB outlets fitted on the wider models.

Palisades Collection

Palisades keeps the two things that make Shaker cabinetry work, the simple panel door and the tapered leg, and adds a softly arched valence along the base. That arch is what stops the cabinet reading as a plain box sitting on the floor, and it is the detail that makes the collection modern rather than reproduction.

Built from North American birch solids and veneers, in Bright White, at 36 and 48 inches single and 72 inches double. Electrical and USB outlets are fitted on the wider cabinets.

White in a bathroom

A white Shaker vanity is the least risky cabinet you can buy and the easiest to build a room around, because the tile, the floor and the tapware can all change without the vanity looking wrong. If you want the same shape with colour, Brittany offers nine finishes on similar lines.
