Mount Rainier Polished Quartzite Slab Random

Quartzite · Slab

blue slabs of Mount Rainier quartzite carry a polished finish that reflects light and deepens the stone’s natural tone. We sell this stone as full slabs in random sizes, and the current stock holds one batch of eleven pieces. A licensed fabricator will template and install your selection. Pricing arrives by quote, so call the showroom to start the conversation. We keep the inventory at our Fairfax, VA warehouse for quick access.

Design

Eleven Slabs In Fairfax

The blue base of Mount Rainier quartzite shifts with every slab, and the veining runs in long, irregular lines. A polished surface catches overhead light and pulls the grey and white markings into sharper focus. Expect noticeable variation between slabs, even within the same batch, because each piece comes from a different block. One slab covers exactly seventy point five eight square feet, and the random dimensions mean your fabricator will plan cuts around the natural edges. The rustic style shows through in the uneven surface texture and the way the polish highlights the stone’s character.

Each slab measures differently. Your fabricator will template the cut after the stone arrives.

The mirror shine deepens the blue.

Where to use it

Mount Rainier For Walls And Counters

This quartzite works on residential countertops and both commercial and residential interior walls. It suits bathrooms and kitchens where the stone will not face heavy abrasion. A licensed fabricator templates the slab and installs it directly from our yard. We hold one batch of eleven slabs in Fairfax, and pieces from that batch match each other more closely than slabs from other blocks. The polished finish reads bright in daylight and holds its luster with regular maintenance.

The stone handles daily use well. Seal it to protect against acids.

Commercial and residential walls both work. The polished face reflects room light.

Why we chose it

  • One batch in stockWe keep eleven slabs from a single block at our Fairfax, VA warehouse. This batch gives the closest match across your project. Slabs from different batches show more variation in veining and tone.
  • Random slab sizesThe current stock lists one size at seventy seven by one hundred thirty two inches. Random dimensions mean your fabricator will plan cuts around the natural edges. Each slab is one solid piece of stone with its own markings.
  • The buffed surface creates a mirror shine that pulls the blue and grey tones deeper. It shows etching sooner than a honed finish, so it works best on walls and vanities. The stone holds its polish well over time.

Care

Seal the stone in kitchens and wet rooms to maintain its resistance to etching. Clean with a pH neutral cleaner and avoid abrasive pads that dull the polish. The polished surface reflects light and shows water spots, so wipe dry after cleaning.
