Quartzite · Slab
Quarry notes on the stone's formation are not required, but the facts tell me this is a white quartzite sold in full slabs. The Pietra Di Luna Polished Quartzite Slab Random comes in a polished finish and is available in random sizes, including the 77x129 inch option currently in stock. Pricing is by quote for the slabs you select. We handle the logistics to a licensed fabricator who templates the pieces. Samples take six to nine business days to prepare.
Design
The Pietra Di Luna slab presents a white field with natural veining that shifts across the surface. Light reflects off the polished face, deepening the stone's color and highlighting its mineral movement. Each slab is a single piece of stone with its own size and unique markings. Variation between one slab and the next is expected, as the batch list shows the exact dimensions available. The polished finish reads bright and clear, showing the stone's natural character without artificial uniformity.
Veining shifts across each slab, ensuring no two pieces match exactly. The batch list provides the exact dimensions for the slabs currently in stock.
The polished finish reflects light and deepens the stone's color. It suits interior walls and vanities where wear is minimal.
Where to use it
Pietra Di Luna Polished Quartzite Slab Random fits residential countertops, residential interior walls, shower walls, and commercial interior walls. It works well in the kitchen and bathroom. A licensed fabricator templates and installs the stone after you review the batch list. One batch is currently in stock at our Fairfax warehouse, holding eleven slabs. Slabs from one batch match most closely, so ordering together ensures visual continuity. The stone is a metamorphic sandstone that resists etching far better than marble, though sealing is still required in kitchens and wet rooms.
One batch holds eleven slabs in Fairfax. Slabs from the same batch look the closest to each other.
We deliver slabs to a licensed fabricator only. Delivery uses an A-frame truck within fifty miles of the warehouse.
Why we chose it
Quartzite resists etching far better than marble, but sealing is still required in kitchens and wet rooms. A polished finish shows wear sooner, so clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads that could dull the mirror shine.
