Ceramic tile for shower walls
Every tile on this page is listed for shower walls. The formats run from small 1x1 mosaics up to 3x12 planks and the glazed white Nuevo Calypso in 6x18. Between those are 4x8 field tiles such as Felce, Ambra and Bordeaux, 6x6 squares such as Storm and Satin Cotton, and the 4x10 Ice Bright. Wood Green is a glossy green square of about 4x4, and Acquamarina a glossy green 4x8. Many of the lines on this page are also listed for backsplashes, so the same tile can continue from the shower to the vanity wall.
What does glazed ceramic tile for a shower look like?
All ceramic shower tile is glazed, and the glaze decides the look. A glossy glaze gives a wet, deep color, as on the Pearl white shapes and Acquamarina green. Matte glazes look soft and chalky, as on Felce in green and Bordeaux in red. Ice Bright and Aqua carry a glazed finish, and Cascade-mor has a clear finish. Blue Leather has a leather finish with a slight texture, plain or in a Mondial pattern. Satin Cotton is a matte white 6x6 and Storm a matte gray 6x6, so matte also comes in plain, quiet colors. Choosing the glaze first narrows the rest of the choices quickly.
Polished Roca planks in 3x12
Roca is a ceramic line with a polished face in a slim 3x12 plank. Roca Flow comes in Cosmic Sapphire, Atoll Blue and Peacock Green, in Velvet Pink and Living Green, and in Lavender, Frost and White. Roca Silver Drift and Roca Dark Gray add two more grays. White, Silver Drift and Dark Gray also come as a matte 8x9, so one shade is available in two finishes and two formats. The 3x12 format is long enough to look modern and narrow enough to keep the wall detailed, and the polished planks give a shower a sleek, glassy wall.
Which shapes are available?
Pearl, a glossy white, shows how far ceramic shapes go. It comes as a picket, a reliefed picket with a raised face, a chevron and a diamante, and as a hexagon and a long hexagon. Pearl also comes in four accent outlines: Vienna and Barcelona in 4x8, and Ennis and Eren in 3x6. Jules is a glossy blue in the Ennis shape, Storm a matte gray chevron in 2x6, and Vintage Moresque a glossy 5x5 accent tile. A single color in two or three shapes adds interest without adding colors.
Crackled and handmade looks
Crackled ceramic has a glaze with a fine web of lines across the surface, the look of old handmade tile. Verdant is a crackled green in the Ennis and Barcelona outlines and as a hexagon. Azure is a crackled blue in the Vienna shape, and Loto is a crackled pink 6x6 accent. Manta is a crackled 8x8, and Fortuna a crackled blue decorative piece in the Sofia design. For a handmade feel without crackle, Riad is a matte zellige look ceramic in a 4x4 gray.
Patterned tile and wall decos
Patterned ceramic turns a shower wall into the main feature of the bathroom. Flame Flower is a multicolor matte 6x6, and Kiss Me Quick is a matte 6x6 with its own design. Sailor is a glazed Delft style 6x6, and Black Glossy Link a glossy black 6x6 in the Link design. Blue Glossy Polca is a patterned glossy mosaic sheet. For a larger scale, the Esercito wall decos come as glazed 4x12 pieces in Nero, Blu, Grigio and Bianco.
Ceramic shower floor tile
Some ceramic mosaics here are listed for shower floors as well as walls. Blanc Matte is the white option, in herringbone, crosshatch, midi hexagon and 2x2 mosaics, with matching gray mosaics in hexagon, crosshatch and midi hexagon and a black crosshatch. The 1x1 mosaics include Cactus, Canyon, Dune and Rosebud in a matte finish. Eventide, Star Gazer and Lagoon are glossy 1x1 mosaics. Black Pearl is a glossy triangle mosaic, and Rosso Matte, a red 4x8 tile, and Vintage Glossy Sofia, a decorative 6x8, are also listed for shower floors. A small matte mosaic below a glossy wall in a related color is a classic pairing. Every floor option in every material is in shower floor tiles.
