Granite · Slab
The deep black of Absolute Black Honed Granite reads matte under light, the honed finish softening the stone’s natural density. This granite arrives as full slabs in random sizes, each one distinct in its own right. Pricing for these slabs comes by quote, tailored to the pieces you select. A licensed fabricator templates and installs every cut. We do not deliver slabs to a job site or directly to your home.
Design
Honed finish on black granite
A honed finish is ground smooth but left matte, hiding scratches and etching better than a polished face. The stone shows slight variation between pieces, with veining and size differing from one slab to the next. Each slab carries its own markings, so no two are identical. You will see a dark, even background with subtle natural movement. The matte face diffuses light rather than reflecting it.

Where to use it
Residential and commercial walls
This granite suits residential interior walls, residential countertops, commercial interior walls and shower walls. It fits well in the bathroom and the kitchen. A batch is the group of slabs cut from one block, so slabs in the same batch look the closest to each other. Current stock shows no batches available right now. Slabs are delivered to a licensed fabricator, who templates, cuts and installs them. Delivery happens by A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse holding the slab, and by crated LTL freight beyond that.

Suitable for shower walls and residential interior walls.
Kitchen durable
Resists scratches and heat better than marble.

Care
Wipe spills promptly to keep the honed surface clear. Use a pH-neutral cleaner designed for natural stone. Avoid abrasive pads that could scratch the matte face.
