Botticino marble, a 16 inch round bowl
This round vessel sink is carved by hand from Botticino beige marble quarried in Turkey. It is 16 inches in diameter and 6 inches high, with walls 2 to 3 cm thick, and it sits on top of the vanity as the sculptural center of the room. The finish is semi-polished, which brings out the warmth of the stone and its subtle veining without a mirror gloss.
Design
A semi-polished beige bowl
Botticino is a dense, resilient marble with a warm beige ground and soft, subtle veining. The semi-polished finish sits between matte and fully polished: it has a gentle sheen that shows the stone's natural warmth, without the hard shine of a high gloss and without the flat look of a matte surface. The edges are smooth and curved, which reduces splashing and leaves no hard corners or crevices where soap scum can collect. Each sink is carved individually by Turkish stone artisans using traditional techniques, so the veining pattern and the shade of beige differ slightly from one bowl to the next. Those small differences are the mark of genuine stone, not flaws.
Semi-polished finish
A soft sheen that shows the warm beige and the subtle veining of the marble.
Curved edges
A smooth, rounded rim that limits splashing and leaves no corners for soap scum.
Where to use it
Compact, with presence
At 16 inches in diameter and 6 inches high, the bowl is compact. It works in smaller bathrooms and powder rooms where a larger statement piece would feel crowded, yet it has enough presence to anchor the vanity. Because it sits on top of the counter, there is no undermount cutout to prepare. The neutral beige suits modern, traditional, contemporary and transitional bathrooms. The 4 cm drain hole is sized for standard drain assemblies and connects to typical plumbing.

Installation
A flat top and a tall faucet
The bowl sits above the counter, so the vanity top must be flat, level and strong enough to carry solid marble. A drain hole is cut to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the bowl is set in silicone around its base. Because the rim stands 6 inches above the counter, the faucet must reach over it: a tall vessel faucet on the deck or a wall-mounted spout. Choose the faucet first, then cut the counter to suit.

Care
Botticino is a calcite marble with a semi-polished surface. Like all marble it is porous, so acids such as vinegar or lemon juice can etch it, and a stone sealer slows how quickly liquids soak in. How often the bowl is resealed depends on how much it is used.
