One batch of Pietra Black Honed Marble Slab Random sits in Fairfax, VA. A batch is the group of slabs cut from a single block, so those slabs share the closest veining and tone. The stone is black and honed. It comes in random sizes, with a 69x110 inch slab available now. Pricing is by quote.
Design
The honed face reads matte under light and softens the deep black base. Veining travels across each slab in irregular lines. Tone shifts from slab to slab because every piece comes from a different part of the block. Expect that variation to show when you dry-lay the stone before setting. Marble slabs require a fabricator to handle the cut and install.
Matte surface
The honed finish hides scratches and etching better than a polished face.
Random sizes
Each slab is one piece with its own dimensions and markings.
Where to use it
Suitable for interior walls
This stone works on shower walls, residential countertops, residential interior walls, and commercial interior walls. A licensed fabricator templates and installs it. Care
Seal the stone after installation and reseal every one to two years. Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid bleach, ammonia and abrasive pads. Marble reacts with acids like lemon and wine, which etch the surface.
