Marble · Slab
Pietra Gray Honed Marble Slab Random arrives in full slabs at 1 1/4 inch thick. The color reads as a steady gray with a honed surface that softens the stone's natural texture. We stock this material in random sizes and sell it by quote. You can review the available sizes and batches in Fairfax, VA before requesting a price. These marble slabs come in the 59x91 inch size currently held at our Fairfax warehouse.
Design
The stone carries a uniform gray tone with subtle veining that shifts slightly across each slab. The honed finish reads matte under overhead light and hides minor scratches better than a polished face. Variation exists between individual slabs because each piece comes from a different section of the block. You should expect the veining patterns and gray tones to differ from one slab to the next. Dry-laying pieces from multiple slabs helps spread that variation evenly across the installation.

We hold one batch containing one slab in Fairfax, VA. Slabs from the same batch match most closely. You can order a sample to check the gray tone in your lighting before committing to a quote.

Care
Seal the stone after installation and reseal it every one to two years. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and avoid bleach or abrasive pads. Lemon, vinegar and wine will etch the surface if left unchecked.
