Sirius Silver marble, a round vessel bowl
This round vessel sink is carved from a single block of Sirius Silver marble quarried in Turkey. The stone is a cool gray with natural veining and organic patterns formed over millions of years, and the mineral inclusions and surface character of each block cannot be reproduced. The bowl measures 15.5 inches in diameter and 6 inches high, and it is sculpted individually, so no two sinks are identical.
Design
Silver-gray marble, polished
The sink is polished inside and out, a finish that catches the light and brings out the gray veining. Smooth, curved edges leave no corners for dirt to gather and keep daily cleaning simple. Because the bowl is carved from one block, there are no joints: the stone runs continuously from rim to base, which keeps the piece structurally sound. The bowl has no overflow. Since each sink is hand-carved, slight variations in color and finish between pieces are natural, and moderate variation is normal for this marble. Over the years the stone develops a soft patina.

Where to use it
A compact bowl for the counter
At 15.5 inches across, the bowl is compact enough for a guest powder room and still comfortable for daily use in a primary bath. The cool gray suits a modern bathroom. Natural marble handles everyday changes in water temperature, and once sealed its dense structure slows water absorption. The 4 cm drain hole takes standard plumbing fittings without modification.

Installation
On the counter, over a drain hole
The sink sits above the counter, so only a drain hole is needed. Solid marble is heavy, though, so the counter must be flat, level and strong. The hole is cut to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the bowl is set in silicone. Because it stands 6 inches above the counter, the faucet has to reach over the rim: a tall deck-mounted vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout. A professional installer is recommended.

Care
Sirius Silver is a porous calcite marble, so acids such as lemon or vinegar can etch the polished surface. Sealing makes it resistant to stains from toothpaste, soap and cosmetics, and how often it is resealed depends on use, typically once or twice a year.
