What materials come in 3x6?
The 3x6 size here comes in three materials. Glazed ceramic makes up most of the page, from Stone Tile Depot and MSI Surfaces. Two white marbles, Carrara White and Greecian White, bring natural stone to the same rectangle, and Antique Mirror turns it into a reflective glass piece. The sections below take each material in turn.
Which colors are available?
Color in 3x6 splits by supplier. Stone Tile Depot's glazes bring the strong colors, from blue Seafoam and Powder and green Sage Jade and Pebble to golden Caramel, pink Blush, brown Coffee and Acorn, and black Midnight and Ebony, along with beige Sand, Conch and Cloud and gray Mist and Zephyr. MSI's 3x6 pieces stay with neutrals: white Whisper White and Antique White, gray Dove Gray and Morning Fog, and beige Portico Pearl. The marbles are both white.
Which 3x6 tiles are listed for showers and floors?
In 3x6, the shower wall listing goes to Stone Tile Depot's glazed tiles, Zephyr and Antique Mirror, and the floor listings to two groups: Stone Tile Depot's glazed tiles have a light floor listing, and Carrara White marble is listed for interior floors. Gris, Greecian White and the MSI glossy pieces are listed for backsplashes, with several MSI pieces also listed for interior walls.
White marble subway pieces
Two white marbles come in the 3x6 subway size. Carrara White is honed, and Greecian White is polished with a beveled edge at 0.38 inch. Carrara White is listed for backsplashes, interior walls and interior floors, and Greecian White for backsplashes. More marble shapes are in marble tiles.
Antique mirror and beveled edges
Antique Mirror is a beveled 3x6 mirror subway, 3/8 inch thick, listed for shower walls, interior walls and backsplashes. A bevel also appears on several ceramic 3x6 tiles: the supplier describes Acorn and Blush as glossy ceramic with a beveled edge, and on Greecian White the bevel frames the polished marble face.
Who makes the 3x6 tiles here?
The 3x6 tiles here come from Stone Tile Depot and MSI Surfaces, and the two differ in body and listing. Stone Tile Depot's 3x6 is a 3/8 inch glazed tile in nearly every color, listed for showers. MSI's glossy 3x6 pieces are slimmer at about 5/16 inch and are listed for backsplashes, and MSI also supplies both marbles. Morning Fog is described by MSI as a handcrafted ceramic from its Highland Park collection.
Zellige look in a 3x6
In the 3x6 size, Seafoam, Powder, Sage Jade, Pebble, Caramel, Sand, Mist and Coffee are each named by the supplier as a zellige look ceramic. Midnight's 3x6 is described by the supplier as giving the look of zellige in black.
Glossy, matte or multi finish?
Gloss is the default on 3x6 here, in both the Stone Tile Depot glazes and every MSI ceramic piece. Two 3x6 tiles break from it with a matte face, Conch in beige and Cotton Matte in white, and two more with a multi finish face that shifts in sheen, Cloud and Ebony. In stone, the choice is honed Carrara White or polished Greecian White.
Which lines have matching trim?
Trim for a 3x6 wall comes from both suppliers. MSI's gray glossy 3x6 has a bullnose in a 4x16 piece, and Stone Tile Depot's Blush comes with three matching trims in the same pink, according to the supplier. The same Stone Tile Depot glazes also come in other subway sizes, which are on the subway tiles page, and subway for the shower in every size is in subway tile for showers.
